Cute OneNote tip for meeting notes

While browsing John Guin’s blog, I found this cute (yes, I said, “cute”) tip on how he keeps notes on his meetings with coworkers.

I have meetings with all the people on my team regularly, and have a separate section for each.  But that is boring.  I asked everyone to give me a photo, and used [...]

Are long OneNote pages bogging you down?

Maybe if you’re using OneNote on a powerful laptop or a new, ultra-configured tablet, you may not have noticed any slow-down. Or if you like to keep neat little notes that only use a letter-sized page of writing/text at a time, this likely has never occurred. But if you use just a half-decent [...]

Fitting a ‘better’ Cornell page template into OneNote

Well my migration over to OneNote is going pretty good. I’ve used it exclusively now in both of the scheduled 3 hour seminars I’ve attended so far, along with numerous other note-taking tasks, and I’ve got to say I’m thoroughly enjoying the experience and that’s without even getting my teeth into, shall we call it, [...]

Making OneNote Printer-Friendly

One of my major gripes about OneNote is that the pages will get longer, but they won’t tell you where the page will cut off if you have to print it to paper. For random scribbles and day-to-day operations, this is fine, but if you’re getting ready for that open note test, being able to [...]

Office Ultimate 2007: $60

Update II:Now it looks like 8pm. Is everyone else seeing this being pushed back as well, or is my computer just flipping out?

Update: Looks like they pushed back the start of the event by a couple of hours to 7pm Mountain Time.

This has already been picked up by a couple of sites, including GottaBeMobile (I [...]

OneNote 2007 Tip: Scratch Out

A quick tip that I picked up earlier today while studying for exams.

In OneNote 2007, rather than using the eraser on your pen to erase your misspelled word or accidental scribble you can actually just cross it out.

Just scribble a few continuous horizontal lines across your error and it will dissapear.

Evidently, this option is [...]

6 Simple OneNote 2007 Tips

1. Insert Space to Widen the Page

You probably know you can make the page longer by inserting space, but did you know you can make the page wider by inserting space? Click the “Insert/Remove Space” button and move the cursor to the edge of the page. You should see the insert/remove line change to a vertical bar [...]

Sliding over to OneNote…again

Yes, OK, I will admit I tossed OneNote last semester when it died right before finals and I couldn’t get to my notes for a week. The extra functionality just didn’t seem worth the hassle.

But I’m not one to hold a grudge. I can’t remember but I think I might have been still using the [...]

Chris Pratley says that Dan Escapa has just released 3 PowerToys for OneNote 2007 with more on the way.

So far:

Where, oh where, did the OneNote beta go?

Has anyone tried finding the OneNote beta lately? Has anyone actually found it? I’ve been searching all day and I’m out of ideas. The Microsoft Beta site? No, the links send you to the Office 2007 beta download. Is it in the Office pack now? No, there’s still no sign of OneNote there either. A [...]
