Studying in the Humanities – Part 1: My Electronic Filing System

If you’re going to succeed at being an efficient TabletPC based student (regardless of what program of study you are taking) then it really helps to get, and stay, as organised as possible, and even more so when you’re study routine is primarily digital in nature. Thankfully you can go a long way to achieving [...]

Is GoBinder getting swept under the rug?

I was doing a bit of research surfing earlier (honestly :o)) and I ended up in a place I haven’t been for a while - the GoBinder forums and two threads “Future Status of GoBinder and PlanPlus” and “Announcing the abandonment of GoBinder2006” horrified me instantly. Now I need to make it clear that [...]

GoBinder 2006 Released out of Beta

For all you GoBinder fans, 2006 is now out of beta and a free upgrade to existing users. Check out the press release and details here.

Also, a little tidbit from GottaBeMobile.com hints that the Oragami might be targetted towards students. Neat ^_^. Something to keep an eye on.

In short, if you like the GB “style” and you have a decent amount of RAM and a decent processor, [...]

GoBinder 2006 Beta Update

Agilix just released an update to the GoBinder 2006 Beta that lets you import GoBinder 2005 files. It took mine almost 40 minutes to import, but my database is enormously enormous (5 GB) and it did warn me “it may take a couple hours.”

I’m sitting here looking at my new and improved notes and [...]

More Example Note Pages

For those still deciding on whether to buy a tablet or not, the more screen shots the better. I thought I’d post some more example notes and homework so people can see how I use the digital ink and how tablets can benefit any student.

There are eight or so screen shots after the jump [...]

Class Notes Aided by Tablet PC

I had a fun time with my tablet (well, the tablet I’m borrowing) this morning. Not really anything different, but enough to make me smile and enjoy the bliss of digital notes + internet.

I have a couple pictures so instead of taking up room on the front page, follow the jump to read my [...]
