Tracy, Webmaster & Author
- Alum of: University of Texas at Austin
- Degree in: Petroleum Engineering, BS
Hi! I am a student who recently graduated from the University of Texas at Austin, USA, with an undergraduate engineering degree. While in college, I was passionate about using technology to improve studies, specifically Tablet PCs (and named Microsoft MVP - Tablet PC 2006, 2007, and 2008).
Now that I’m in the working world (a petroleum engineer for an integrated oil company), I still have a strong desire to learn and explore the world around me, and I still want to do it in the best way possible. I never want to stop learning and doing, and as I also have a love for writing and sharing, this blog is the result.
In my free time, I love spending time with my husband (newlyweds :-D) and our cute, puppy mini schnauzer. Please never hesitate to contact me as I love hearing from people!
Robert, Co-Author
- Alum of: University of St. Andrews, Dunfermline, Scotland
- Degrees in: Mediaeval History and Archaeology
Robert is a ‘young at heart’ mature(ish) student currently studying at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. No stranger to the world of academia this is his second degree having already attained a BSc. in Multimedia Development from Napier University in Edinburgh. He is a dedicated lifelong learner and has a particular passion for all aspects of creative learning.
Robert has used TabletPCs since early 2005 after adopting them as a quirky way to operate more paperlessly. He says he’s never looked back and uses his TabletPC daily in all aspects of his life both at university and at home. Consequently he has become adept at using many TabletPC orientated software packages and their application. Despite being a ‘PC man’ since the early 90’s Robert has recently begun dipping a toe into the world of Macs and is enjoying it immensely. However he remains adamant that nothing will ever make him replace his invaluable ‘inking companion’
Robert lives with his wife and 2 daughters in the ancient Scottish capital Dunfermline which lies about 10 miles away from the current Scottish capital Edinburgh.

[...] What happens when you put a bunch of geeks into an adult fantasy land like Las Vegas with a night to kill? Silliness that’s what. Tonight after Day 1 at the Vista Labs, we all headed for dinner and a show with Tony and Tina’s Wedding at the Rio. Before entering the show we were treated to an indoor sky show at the Rio where steamboats, hot air balloons, Winged Horses, and cages filled with dancing girls circled over our heads on tracks. Impressive. The show was quite fun and I’m sure an incriminating picture of your truly will end up on the pages of GBM as soon as someone else can get to blogging. Quite fun and quite a nice time bonding with some fellow Microsoft MVPs. Great fun hanging out with James Kendrick, Trevor Claiborne, Fritz Switzer, and the rest of the gang. [...]

I have left the site for about a year because I graduated and got into the financial field that I wished to, and came back to see this. Endless Scholar? Hmm… Good luck!
