TEO 3.0: Out of beta with student pricing!
byIf you were at all intrigued by my article on TEO, I highly suggest you check out the newly released TEO 3.0 (it’s out of beta now!). Even if you have no idea why you would need TEO (and if you don’t, I suggest checking out it’s website one more time), just give it a try and see what it’s like.
If you were intrigued before but couldn’t justify the cost while you’re still living on noodle soup, it’s now more affordable to a student budget at $29.99 from $49.99. I think you just need to fax a copy of your student ID to the number at the bottom of the “Buy” page.
Plus, Josh Einstein is a way cool guy and is worth helpin’ out by trying his software!

I use my tablet in conjunction w/ a MSFT Smartphone. I am afraid to try TEO because it might cause synching issues w/ the phone… the phone doesn’t do ink. Thoughts?

July 30th, 2006 at 2:06 amHey Ron, I submitted this on the old site but it got lost in the move to the new site.
You don’t have to worry about TEO not syncing to your Windows Mobile device. I use a Pocket PC phone with Exchange Server so I made sure when I was designing TEO that the items it creates are fully “syncable”. Basically, when you create an item in TEO, it creates a real live Outlook item under the covers and adds the associated ink data as extra properties and attachments. While you won’t see your ink or notes on the Smartphone, you will see the recognized text of the item with no additional effort on your part.
TEO 3.0 greatly improves recognition accuracy over TEO 2.0 and the new recognition preview under the fields makes it far less likely that you’ll end up with incorrectly recognized data on your phone.
August 1st, 2006 at 12:17 pmIs this product still being supported? It appears to be a sponsor of this website, but the forums on the product site appear to have problems getting responses.
My business is not eager to try new products especially those that are unable to tell if they are being supported or are legitamate products.
Finally does it run with vista and outlook 2007. This kind of product sounds like one main reason I got my company to invest in my tablet pc to test!
