Done

Holy crap. I’m done with college. Yesterday at 3:30pm I finished my last final (Game Theory and Business Decisions, scored 1.5 standard deviations above the mean!) and essentially officially finished college. I’ve gone through one graduation already, and have another this Saturday.

I find myself in kind of an odd state. I mean, for the last 18 or so years I have been a student such that school was my only major occupation. Now that’s no longer the case. I may eventually go to grad school, not sure for what, but really it’s the end of an era.

To all other graduates of 2006, congratulations.

    Congrads Trevor!

I have heard that it is California state law that you can place a Cal diploma in your windshield and they let you park in any handicap spaces. Is this true?

I hope you stay involved with us remaining students in the tablet community.

Ben -from the little school across the bay ;-)

    Hi Ben,

You do know that you’re not across the bay, you’re below the bay?

I hear if you post a Stanford diploma on your windshield, the college staff is able to follow you to your job and will continue to complete your assignments for you. :)

For the record, I never got into the rivalry. I visited it during high school, but it just didn’t seem right for me. I’m sure I’ll get a lot of jokes like that thrown at me at Google. It’s like the other Stanford campus.

    Trevor,

My whole family goes/went to Cal. I only joke in good fun and I actually was very close to attending Cal. I hope Google treats you well. I will be at Apple this summer, maybe it would be fun to attempt a tablet meetup during the summer. I know at least a couple others who would be interested (Andy, you there?).

Congratulations! It does feel weird doesn’t it? The odd thing about such transitions in life is that while we are in one stage, we can’t wait to get out of it. But once we’re out of it finally, it feels all weird and wobbly.

Congrats Trevor. Savor your accomplishment. Hopefully you’ve allowed yourself a bit of down time before diving into the world of work at Google where I know you will do amazing things - like evangelize the Tablet PC to a bunch of smart people ;^)

    Congratulations, Trevor!

Take my advice and go back to school. I’ve been in school 9 years(5 years B.S math, 4 years Ph.d math, so far). The real world is overated.

Congratulations, Trevor! I’ve got a year left to go at the University of Washington (I took a decade off between High School and College) and I really can’t wait for it to be finished and get back to my real life. If you end up in the Seattle area for any reason (Google has an office here too), drop me a line!

Congratulations Trevor. I agree with Roland, continue the education (while working at Google). I got my BSEE while working full time, and could have had BSME also. But I just graduated from Work, retired. Now doing consulting and bussier … Congratulations.

Congrats, Trev! Enjoy it while you can!

    Congrats!

But how can you continue to contribute to studenttabletpc.com without being a student?

    Congrats, Trevor!

The classes may be over, but the learning never stops. For that I’m sure the editorial board at studenttabletpc.com will decide to keep you on the team. :-)

If not, maybe you should check out the domain name tabletpcatwork.com or willworkfortabletpc.com. Heh.

    Congrats Trevor!

You have been a valuable contributor to the student and Tablet PC community and I look forward to hearing about all the great things your doing at Google!

And like someone else said…The learning never stops so you’ll always be a student in that sense!

Good Luck! (Editing disabled while spellchecking) Stop spell checking

    Trevor,

    Congratulations!

That said, I agree with Roland… I went to school, went to the real world to work, and then promptly went back to school, because the real world is umm, irritating, lol.

No, seriously… congratulations, and best of luck as you move forward!

  • James Kendrick Said:

Congratulations Trevor! Enjoy life while you can, work hard, post often, well you know the drill. You’ve earned a little relaxation, don’t you think? :)

I graduated last year and after one week of an odd state I found myself in work with my head and no time for thinking my new state over.
