Out of office reply: Tracy is taking an internet hiatus
byStarting today, right after I post this, my hiatus will begin.
I need a break, people. Not from y’all…y’all are great and I love talking to everyone and sharing my experiences, but I just need to take some time and get caught up with school work and related activities. My head’s a little bonkers right now with all I have on my plate, and “real life” takes first dibs over “internet life” ^_^.
Trev and Andrew are still here though, and while I don’t know how busy they are, they’ll keep it running while I’m away just fine. For everyone who e-mailed me in the last couple days with no response yet, I’m sorry, I’ll get back to you after the break. I also won’t be doing the Tip of the Day, so unless Andrew or Trev take it over, that will also be on vacation.
I’m currently thinking about a one week break, in which case I’ll be back next Friday, but it could extend to two weeks. I’m kicking it off with a weekend trip to a house that, get this, doesn’t have internet (by choice). Crazy, eh?
Anyway, see y’all in a week or two!

Hi Tracy
Wish you an outstanding time away from all of this! (I try to remember myself everyday this is just a tool not life itself)
Good “rest”, and you know… we will all be waiting for your coming back.
Best,
Fernando
February 3rd, 2006 at 1:37 pmOhh how I relate! Sometimes I forget I’m pre-med and not a CSE major and should be studying my netter cards insead of writing about my Tablet. Take your break! You DESERVE it and good luck with classes!
February 3rd, 2006 at 1:46 pmTracy, I totally support your plans!
Quite often I am thinking if going completly digital and if all this stuff we love and support so much, doesn’t really make us forget some pieces of the real world outside / the concept of time / the little things in life / nature / and all this out-of-date normal people stuff.
With a Tablet I guess most people a) don’t find the balance b) don’t really become more productive (me included).
I do understand the back-to-paper-movement going on at the moment. Although that’s nothing I would want to support…
I always wanted to write an article about that. But on the other hand I don’t want to convince myself that life without checking the latest stuff going on really is worth it. On the other hand - do you remember what was on the news / Slashdot / Engadget / … the day before yesterday?

I’m going to tell your mom on you.
J/k. Enjoy it!
February 3rd, 2006 at 9:07 pmTracy, I asked David to send you GTD - in analog format. Worth a read while you are not reading this comment. You ARE not reading this comment, right?
Best regards,
