Excellent video on how a teacher uses MindManager
byScott Guthrie, who looks to be a high school teacher, produced a great video (again, with Camtasia) demonstrating how he uses MindManager in the classroom. There’s been a bunch of talk and demo’s of MindManager lately, but I especially like this one because it helps show not only the features of MM, but also ways people are using the software.

It’s 23 minutes long, covers a basic overview, how he uses it inside the classroom , outside the classroom, for presentations, exporting to other programs, and also shows off the MindManager website and how to purchase if you’re interested. I’ve been talking to the IT department of my university (they’re handing out Tablet PCs to professors!!!!) and I’m sending the link to this video to them right after I post this.
By the way, Scott, you sound like a great teacher. Two thumbs way up from this student!
As a side note, Jason Dorko, another student blogger, has been introducing himself to MindManager the past few days and it’s been fun to hear his thoughts on the software and follow along with his reviews.

Scott Guthrie has put together a great video demo of how he uses MindManager as a teacher. If you’re having problems wrapping your head around MindManager this is a must see. Great demo. Take a look here. Via The Student

Sharon: interesting…I’ll try making an in-class video next time I do this (or maybe one my classes will volunteer to “pretend” for a video (kinda scary — they can be pretty serious when they’re playing)
I’ll also try to video myself when I use other programs or do other things if I can.
Thanks for the idea!

There’s this one on this site http://studenttabletpc.com/2004/12/bethsimononeducationaltech.html
about me.
Also check out my home page for more stuff http://www.cs.ucsd.edu/~bsimon
No videos though.
We have about 50 professors that use Ubiquitous Presenter — if you need I could put you in touch with some.
