Update: Selling the Acer 302

OK, operation tablet switch has commenced. Yesterday I went out and bought my desktop so I can get things set-up on it and prepare for the absence of my tablet when I send it off for a few small repairs I’ve been griping about.

It’s kinda cool having a "real computer" again after so long [...]

On The Lookout: RecallPlus to Add Ink

I think everyone will agree that this is awesome news. In somewhere around two weeks RecallPlus, a notes/study/testing software similar to Supermemo but much more user friendly, is said to be releasing a version with ink support for Tablet PCs. This company says they see tablets as the wave of the future which is why [...]

The National Academies Press

A post on our forum prompted me to do a search for "free chapter petroleum" and I ran across and interesting site I was surprised to have been clueless too. I know many of you are looking for a place to find free online books, so here’s one for the keeping.

The National Academic Press [...]

GoBinder Expands it’s Horizons…

Apparently there is now a feature for illustrating your notes which works amazingly similar to Revelation Natural Art.  Or so says Laptop Magazine ;-).

OneNote Organizer Add-In

OK, I have a OneNote version of the thing I’m calling "Organizer" ready for download.

Organizer.zip

To "install" the file, go into your My Documents folder and find a folder called My Notebook. Unzip the Organizer files into the My Notebook folder and you should be good to go. I think. I haven’t really worked with [...]

A Fling with OneNote?

Well, I’m one of those people who are constantly changing things, from my hair cut/color, to my furniture arrangement, to the bag I carry. It’s not a surprise to me that I’m somewhere around 80% sure I’m going to try OneNote for the Summer and at least the Fall. The urge for something new and [...]

OnlineOrganizing dot com

While I’m on this organizational kick, I thought I’d throw in another neat site called OnlineOrganizing.com. It’s not exactly tablet related (though it could be), but many students are faced with the problem of going from one single (and often cluttered) room to a whole dorm/apartment/house to figure out what to do with. To make [...]

I’ll be selling my Acer 302

The original idea was to keep my convertible and to buy the new LE1600 later this month, but after thinking about it a lot, I decided it’d be a better use of my money to sell my convertible, buy a nice, large flat-screen monitor, and either build or buy a cheap desktop (for storage, to [...]
